A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Import Export Specialist for the Customs department, you will be responsible for the coordination and follow-up of import / export shipments, to have constant and proper communication with the different stakeholders, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and internal customs procedures.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

• Coordinate import and export shipments from a customs perspective, excluding international and local logistics coordination.
• Send instructions to the customs broker for clearance through our General Trade Management (GTM) system.
• Monitor and follow up on the entire import/export customs process to ensure timely and compliant operations.
• Review and verify all documentation required for customs clearance, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and transport documents.
• Ensure accuracy in the customs declaration data and validate fields that may lead to potential penalties.
• Provide support to the logistics and business teams and prepare necessary letters and documentation for customs clearance.

What You Bring

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience, preferably in import/export coordination and customs processes.
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Commerce, Foreign Trade, or related fields.
• Solid knowledge of customs legislation (LA, RLA, RGCE, Ministry of Economy regulations, etc.).
• Proficient in English at a professional working level.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence, focus, and ability to efficiently complete project-based work.
