A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Field Service Engineer at Siemens Energy, your day will be dynamic and filled with opportunities to make a tangible difference. You will be on the front lines, providing critical technical assistance to our clients as they install and maintain Gas turbines. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and efficiency of energy systems, helping Siemens Energy achieve its mission of sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate with a diverse and supportive team, dedicated to excellence and innovation.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide hands-on technical work on installation, startup, servicing, overhauls, and troubleshooting of Siemens Energy Industrial & Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (I&A GT).
- Offer technical supervision and expert advice on Siemens Energy products, supporting customers and partners to meet their production and business targets.
- Complete site technical documents and field reports within required timelines, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and submit accurate expense reports and time sheets promptly, showcasing your dedication to procedural excellence.
- Arrange professional travel to job sites through Siemens Energy’s travel group, ensuring efficient and timely job site presence.
- Instruct and train customers' operators and maintenance personnel on Operation and Maintenance (O&M) when requested, encouraging knowledge and skill development.
What You Bring
- Experience in EHS within mechanical and power generation rotating equipment industries, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards promoting EHS awareness in daily tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Control Engineering. Candidates with I&A GT background are preferred.
- Over 3 years of experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Industrial Gas Turbines with strong technical hands-on expertise.
- Self-motivated with a strong customer focus, familiar with customs at distributed power generation, petro-chemical industries, and shipyard/offshore production facilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with the capacity to develop client relationships and maintain a positive attitude.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication.
- Willingness to travel 80% of the time.
