A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for an Expert Engineer with extensive knowledge on heat transfer process in gas and fluids, and the thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Application areas include electrical heating, heat pump design, furnace design, heat exchanger design in Siemens Energy Innovation Center Shenzhen.

 

Job Responsibilities

As a Heat Transfer and Thermohydraulic Expert Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development, analysis, and optimization of thermal systems across multiple projects. Your deep understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics will play a crucial role in designing high-efficiency thermal systems, heat exchangers or similar applications based on project requirements.

 
  • Develop innovative heat exchanger & thermal storage system that meet functional and cost target for Compressor Air Energy Storage, Power to Heat and Waste Heat Recovery solutions.
  • Perform detailed thermodynamics analysis using both analytical methods and computation tools.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary team including mechanical engineer, plant designer, system engineer, project manager to ensure seamless integration of thermals systems within broader system architectures.
  • Work tightly with heat exchanger & thermal storage system suppliers to ensure feasibility, leading time, and economy of the design.
  • Setup scaled prototype, carry out test in test rig and validation against theoretical models, experimental data collection to verify the design.
  • Support the commissioning of the heat exchange and thermal storage system according to project schedule.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts on complex thermohydraulic issues arising during development, manufacturing and operation stages.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in the field of heat transfer and thermohydraulics, apply best practices toward continuous improvement initiatives including process and tools improvement, knowledge management, technical and products roadmaps.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above on power engineering, thermodynamics, heat transfer, thermal engineering or related majors
  • At least 5 years’ experience specializing in heat transfer and thermohydraulics within an applied research or product development in heat exchanger and thermal storage related fields.
  • Experience with laboratory work (design by calculation, test and verification) about heat exchanger and thermal storage.
  • Strong foundation mathematical modeling skills coupled ability effectively generate innovative technical concepts alike essential this role.
  • Demonstrated track record delivering successful projects involving complex heat exchanger designs under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Experience with large rotation equipment such as Turbine and Compressor is a plus.
  • Fluent English skills in both speaking and writing.
