A Snapshot of Your Day

As Head of Training Center Americas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and drive continuous improvement in our operations. With significant changes in technology and workforce, the Head of Training Center Americas will be responsible for driving a strong commitment to innovation and continuously investing in modern technologies and processes that improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of training across a diverse range of teams.

The training center will support a cross-functional group of teams including field service, service engineering, and project management. As such, the training center must remain agile and responsive in delivering the right training at the right time. We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, open-minded and innovative leader dedicated to shaping our overall training and certification program.

This role will report to the Head of Training Operations for Global Service Operations and will be based in Orlando, FL.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement a strategic training and competence framework aligned with the company's objectives and industry standards. Collaborate with senior management to identify training needs and prioritize initiatives that drive organizational growth and performance.
  • Monitor and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources while delivering high-quality training solutions and growing the training business.
  • Identify key training topics and leverage the latest digitalization tools to expand training offerings while standardizing and harmonizing training globally to ensure a consistent learning experience regardless of where training is delivered.
  • Lead and manage a team of training professionals, including trainers, instructional designers, and training administrators. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members are equipped to deliver high-quality training solutions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including field service, operations, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify training needs and align programs with business objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with external training providers, industry organizations, and academic institutions to leverage resources and expertise.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, training, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in power generation or a related technical field (field service, operations, repair or customer technical support), with a proven track record of developing and delivering training programs.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable training initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of turbomachinery principles, operations, and maintenance practices. Knowledge of Siemens Energy and legacy equipment preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: 5%-10%, including international travel.
  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

About the Team  

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
