Head of Finance at Siemens Energy

With focus on our business in Africa, we are looking for a Head of Finance for Steam Turbines and Generators for subregion Africa within the Siemens Energy Transformation of Industry Business Area.  You will be responsible for the commercial operations in close cooperation with the subregion head for Africa.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

• Lead Budget, Forecast, Reporting and controlling requirements in the subregion, responsible for the integrity of books and records, and for an effective risk management and internal control system
• Ensure cross-business area and cross-country collaboration to achieve the overall business targets
• You have full responsibility for all commercial/finance-related matters
• Ensures accurate methodology for identifying, evaluating, assessing risks & opportunities and mitigation activities
• You ensure compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP requirements, reporting guidelines, and internal controls.
• Identifies, minimizes non-conformance costs, and establishes an appropriate reporting structure; supports the implementation of lessons learned
• Driving business growth in the subregion
• Driving active Cash Management
• Drive simplification and digitization of internal processes, explore AI capabilities, and align commercial activities across countries to demonstrate regional alignments.          
• Lead, develop and coach a team of individuals in different countries           
• Developing & global implementation of financial calculation schemes & procedures
• Monitoring of all financial matters in the subregion, including financial reviews and involvement in projects if needed
• Manage strategy related topics to support the strategic goals, strategic financial planning (e.g. investment strategies, risk management) and strategic pricing                                            
• Guiding Sales and Execution in all financial matters

What You Bring 

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting or equivalent
• Long term proven operational experience in a finance function for an international organization, ideally with experience in financial controlling, Siemens Energy FRG’s and reporting systems, and/or project management
• Well-founded knowledge in the area of project controlling and project reporting including corresponding standards and processes
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in working in an intercultural environment with globally present teams and have demonstrated ability to lead a team
