A Snapshot of Your Day

This position is an addition to the Mechanical Systems team in China, created to support the business-critical ramp-up of GT60 gas turbine projects within the Gas Services customer operations division. To address these project demands, this senior role focuses on two primary areas: Project Engineering & Execution, covering the end-to-end management of complex engineering projects, and Technical Design & Problem Solving, which involves detailed mechanical system design, analysis, and issue resolution for gas turbine systems. Given the focus on independent project delivery and technical complexity, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, proven experience in project engineering from planning through commissioning, and strong analytical skills to manage difficult and complex problems with limited supervision.

How You’ll Make an Impact

•  60% Project Engineering & Execution

 - Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for GT60 mechanical systems, including defining scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

 - Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, monitoring progress against plans and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.

 - Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, design documents, commissioning procedures, and final reports.

 - Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and customers to ensure seamless project implementation, testing, and successful commissioning.

•  40% Technical Design & Problem Solving

 - Create, review, and approve detailed mechanical engineering designs and drawings for gas turbine systems and auxiliary equipment using CAD software.

 - Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex mechanical issues encountered during project execution or in operational assets.

 - Ensure all engineering designs, installations, and project activities comply with internal quality standards, industry codes, and customer requirements.

 - Provide expert technical guidance and coaching to lower-level professionals and project team members on mechanical system engineering challenges.

What You Bring

•Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
