Snapshot of Your Day

Are you interested in being part of a team that is driving energy transformation? At Siemens Energy, you can. Our technology is key, but our people make the difference. Hard-working minds innovate. They connect, create, and keep us on track towards changing the world’s energy systems. We’re looking for passionate people interested in the electric grid and related technology, systems and solutions. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to join our Engineering Career Acceleration Program (ECAP), located within the Grid Technologies business!

ECAP is an 18-month rotational development program for early career engineers focused on the transmission industry. Our program offers four tracks: Generalist, Manufacturing, Control & Protection and Substation Engineering. All tracks rotate through Raleigh, NC, Richland, MS and sites across the US, as applicable. Program participants will also participate in four formal learnings, which provide access to our internal industry experts, to further their education and confidence!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • During this 18-month program you will participate in three rotational assignments in Raleigh, NC, and Richland, MS, as well as sites across the US, depending on the track. The areas of business include Grid Solutions (High Voltage Grid, Substations, Onshore and Offshore), Products (Transformers, Switching and Non-switching gear, Clean Energy Solutions), Service, Storage, and Digital Grid.
  • You will use fundamental engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to complete assignments while learning about the business. This training will help prepare you for several roles within the business (typical roles may include Application Engineering, Project Engineering, Product Design, Field Service, Digitalization, Project Management, Job Site Safety, Business Development, etc.).
  • Gain product knowledge and learn the complexities of the broader Transmission Industry and current customer landscape.
  • Build a powerful professional network and accelerate your personal growth.

What You Bring

  • By June 2026, you will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred), power systems engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or a tightly related field.
  • You possess a genuine interest in the electric grid and its ongoing transition.
  • You are interested in developing your skills in power grid-focused engineering, project management, business development, and field service subject areas.
  • You're a curious, self-driven leader with sharp organizational skills, passionate about leveraging resources and inspiring innovation to solve complex challenges.
  • You have strong communication skills and are eager to enhance your verbal, written, and presentation abilities for business purposes.
  • Ability to travel, as required for the rotations and relocation upon completion of the program.
  • We are currently recruiting for our next class, which will commence in June 2026. Our Fall 2025 recruitment timeline includes a virtual interview event to be held in October/November timeframe with offers to successful candidates in the November/December timeframe.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Current Siemens Energy employees may be eligible for internal transfers.
