The Designer will engage with a multidisciplinary team to deliver on the engineering requirements of a rotating equipment project!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design and develop control panels. Document each design for manufacture by creating detailed assembly documents and bills of material.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Apply computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed schematics and layouts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the panel build process.
What You Bring
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED that can be verified; additional technical qualifications in a related field are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in control panel assembly and wiring is required; Experience in cable tray installation and package wiring is preferred; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position.
- Computer skills and a keen interest in developing your skills in control panel design and package design.
- Ability to interpret and understand electrical and control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and interpret design intent based on assembly drawings and bills of material.
- Basic knowledge of grounding and bonding; Basic understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams is preferred.
- Familiarity with codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, UL & CSA. An understanding of hazardous area classification and intrinsically safe circuits is preferred.
