As a Cost Engineer, you will drive diverse projects and initiatives. The major objective of Cost and Value Engineering is the generation of high customer value at competitive target costs in product, project and solution business. Generating transparency in the respective cost and value drivers along the entire value chain by applying state of the art Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) methodology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive the integration of state-of-the-art Cost and Value Engineering in business processes and foster a cross-functional mindset change towards cost and value awareness.
- Establish transparency in cost and value of products, systems, and solutions, contributing improvement proposals to support various departments in achieving their goals.
- Contribute to the competitiveness and profitability of products and solutions through the application of Cost and Value Engineering levers and methods.
- Support the setting of competitive and achievable targets based on customer requirements, competitors’ products, and a clear judgment of our own and suppliers’ capabilities.
- Foster a CVE network and company-wide knowledge exchange, contributing expertise to the network and supporting optimal commercial conditions through precise supplier cost information.
What You Bring
- Excellent communication and social skills for effective collaboration with internal customers and suppliers, and strong analytical skills to identify key cost drivers.
- Significant experience in should costing tools and methods, and optimisation of cost and value improvement opportunities.
- Extensive experience in heavy industrial manufacturing processes, with a strong preference for turbine blades and vanes manufacturing, including investment casting, machining, and coating.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office software, with flexibility to travel to external suppliers and factory locations.
- Long standing professional experience within a global company, including 5+ years in Engineering, and a Master's degree in Engineering. Proficient in English, with experience working with multi-cultural professionals and teams.
