A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

The Commercial Data Management (CDM) team is responsible for maintaining all of the material master data in the PD2 SAP system.  This team supports the entire gas service organization with the primary focus on Parts and Repairs.  Parts cannot be quoted, ordered, stocked, shipped, or invoiced without material master data setup in SAP.  Each material master has a unique combination of attributes for the different business groups.  The requests for support can come in from internal users via the CDM JIRA ticketing tool or via SAP workflow.  This wide range of requests provides many opportunities for learning and problem-solving. Also, maintaining data quality and aligning it with other SAP boxes (OPP & KSP) is a key strategic focus.  We use various tools to perform mass updates and improve data quality across the population set.
