A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
As an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Industrialisation Engineer, you will transform innovative AM technology from trials and prototypes into efficient industrialized production. Working from our pioneering Worcester site, you will collaborate with operational, engineering, and design teams to deliver ready-to-use components for sectors like Aerospace, Power Generation, Space, and Automotive. Your day will involve leading R&D projects, optimizing processes, and ensuring quality standards are met, all while working across our organization to turn technological developments into operational success.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Lead R&D project planning and execution as part of the AM technology development strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Design, Quality, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of AM processes.
- Provide status updates to partners via reports and systems such as ORD and OnePM.
- Drive the implementation of innovative manufacturing processes and tools.
- Ensure all AM process development aligns with internal and customer quality requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING
Preferred skills and experience:
- A university degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience of R&D project execution, preferably with experience coordinating multiple project partners.
- Curiosity about evolving into a Project Management role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with internal and external partners.
- Self-motivation, critical thinking, and organizational awareness.
- Fundamental understanding of metal additive manufacturing processes and their optimization.
BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
- Knowledge of laser technologies, including process parameter development and control.
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality practices, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy.
