Your Profile
• You have a bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, material engineering or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• At least 8 years professional experience in an area of supplier quality management, procurement and/or material engineering.
• You have experience performing supplier qualifications, product/ process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global quality-assured and cost-effective supply base.
• You have experience in leading projects and running virtual cross-functional teams in an international environment. You are a self-starter, determined and self-reliant; your organizational, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills and intercultural expertise round up your profile.
• You have extensive knowledge in Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Electrical Steel, Copper and Insulation material used in the fabrication of Power Generation Products.
• You are willing to ask questions, proactively reach out to others to communicate, be open minded, look for problems proactively and mitigate them, have personal drive and growth.
• You are highly proficient (writing and speaking) in English, willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
Your Responsibilities
• Be the point of contact for the Raw Materials Global Commodity Manager in developing procurement strategies and project planning, supplier identification, capability assessment audits, driving standards and bringing in new material related technology.
• Enhance Raw Material knowledge and expertise of the SE global supply quality network by organizing and leading a global community of Supply Quality Engineers in knowledge sharing and training on Raw Materials, their uses and manufacturing methods.
• Product and Process Qualification: Mostly be the technical Lead, and sometimes the main lead, in cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on Raw Material commodity parts. Leading includes the planning, tracking and reporting of project milestones as well as budget and resource needs.
• Be a key expert in improving Raw Material suppliers and supporting critical technical issues by being a creator and owner of a commodity/technology network.
