What You Can Expect
Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.
From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-month international assignment.
You will be paired with a dedicated mentor who guides you through immersive experiences, allowing you to shadow various roles and positions. This support system is designed to empower you to achieve your unique career goals while fostering substantial connections with peers and influential business leaders. Additionally, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources geared towards cultivating your professional growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
- Analysis of potential interaction between Siemens Energy Solutions and the transmission grid.
- Responsibility for evaluation of project requirements and calculation of the technical parameters for the design and rating of the equipment in the solution.
- Development and validation of calculation tools (Matlab) and simulation models for EMT simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD/EMTDC).
- Development of cooperation with regions worldwide and continuous improvement standardization of calculation tools, study procedures, methods, and processes in project execution including documentation of results.
What You Bring
- A master’s degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in power systems.
- Preferred experience with high voltage short-circuit studies, and system interaction studies of high-voltage equipment with the electrical transmission grid.
- Practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
- Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexibility, and mobility during the program
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
