A Snapshot of Your Day:
In your role as Team Member in Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible to perform the day-to-day operations related to accounts receivables.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
● Your responsibilities include perform day-to-day operations related to accounts receivables, for example:
○ Reconciliation of accounts (Customers & GL)
○ Imaging and archiving
○ Payment allocation – both manual and automated
○ Performing approved subledger correction postings (e.g. managing/writing off of differences)
○ Handling & processing of selected payment types, (e.g. cheques & bill of exchange)
○ Proactively handling the resolution of unallocated / problem amounts
○ Where applicable, maintain the existing automated payment allocation tools in use
○ Where applicable, support the improvement in automated payment allocation
● Support the Accounts Receivable accounting team and partner with the AR Senior and AR Team Leader to provide accurate books and records and comply with global processes/standards
● You will act as a competent contact person for various inquiries relating to your area of responsibility and advise your customer on (receivables) accounting issues.
● Maintain, consult, and adhere to (local) AR policies.
● Strive to achieve documented SLA’s, KPI’s and quality measures. Perform reporting on these KPI’s to the respective department heads as and when required.
● Execution of new accounting regulations and internal controls – with focus on Accounts Receivable
● You provide help and guidance to team members in need of assistance due to workload or lack of expertise issues.
● You act as a role model for process optimization, harmonization, automation, digitalization and standardization
● You demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
● Support quarterly and yearly external audit process by providing timely information and resolve queries from auditor qualitatively (if applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities)
● Proactively identify service delivery issues and take appropriate action, promote initiatives and use of best practices.
● Contribute continuously to the improvement of the performance of the overall Accounting Service Centre
What You Bring
● Accounting or credit management qualification (or similar)
● 2 plus years of experience in operational accounting, specifically accounts receivable activities
● Entrepreneurial mindset and eager to drive transformation
● People oriented and committed to delivering excellent customer service
● Experience of working in truly multicultural working environment
● Good understanding of business processes, in particular Accounts Receivable, in ERP landscape (e.g. SAP ).
● Your open and communicative nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile
