A Snapshot of Your Day
Envision commencing your day alongside a group of dedicated innovators at Siemens Energy, working on initiatives that propel our mission for exceptional energy. As an R&D Engineer, you will develop design mechanical components / assemblies taking into account cost and function and related business standards. Your daily activities will involve creating 3D-models, 2D-drawings, Bill of material and data sheets and participating in the planning, setup and execution of development and type tests, involve in the development of future generations of high-voltage switchgear in an international project team. Each day, you will chip in to a culture of innovation, outstanding performance, and collaboration, making a tangible difference for our customers and the global community.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Participation in the development of future generations of high-voltage switchgear in an international project team
According to localization requirements and develop / customize products and solutions
Develop design mechanical components / assemblies taking into account cost and function and related business standards
Create 3D-models, 2D-drawings, Bill of material and data sheets
Participation in the planning, setup and execution of development and type tests
Analysis of the test results and derivation of the necessary design changes for the product high voltage switchgear
Support of the operational business through technical expertise as part of a cross-functional project team
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electric Engineering or related field
Over 2 years HV product relevant technical work experiences in mechanical design
Professional application of relevant 3D-CAD software (PROE), creation 3D models, 2D-drawings and Bill of materials structures
Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, especially high voltage technology
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
Be able to create innovation/patents
Pre-intermediate English (A2+), German advantageous
