A Snapshot of Your Day 

Join us as a Master’s Student in Electrical Power Systems, where you will engage in cutting-edge research and development focused on advanced power generation and transmission systems. You will collaborate closely with experienced power system consultants on a variety of exciting and challenging projects, exploring topics such as HVDC, FACTS, synchronous condensers, and both conventional and renewable power generation.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Conduct research and develop innovative applications and tools for electric power generation, transmission, and control systems
  • Create mathematical models in RMS or EMT for various transmission and generation system components (e.g., HVDC, FACTS, electrical machines, controllers) using industry-standard simulation tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, and PSCAD
  • Design and implement automation and software tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of power system studies
What You Bring
  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field at a university or college
  • Strong academic performance with relevant knowledge and a keen interest in electrical AC/DC power systems and their control systems.Experience with power system simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, and PSCAD
  • Proficient in Python and capable of writing code effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Fluent in English
