A Snapshot of Your Day 

You will be part of the Strategy, Projects and Global Risk Management (SPR) team, responsible for German and global pension risk management, optimizing our pension risk profile on the liability side (e.g. financial/strategic plan design projects together with our HR colleagues) as well as on the asset side (e.g. portfolio optimization across different asset classes).
You will have a special focus on international pension plans (from a holistic global perspective), analyse and control asset performance, take over ad-hoc projects and manage pension finance related matters in M&A transactions. 

Being part of an international diverse global pension team, you will constantly gain valuable insights into global financial pension management and its interfaces - in close collaboration with other functions like AC, HR, Tax, IR, M&A and regions.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Preparation of regular reports on worldwide asset performance, risk analysis and corresponding market developments s part of various asset & risk management activities
  • Support / approve asset manager selection and monitoring 
  • Monitoring/changing strategic asset allocations
  • Support assessing financial and risk impacts of potential changes to pension plans, service provider and funding requirements and coordinate local De-Risking & Optimization projects together with the Regional Pension Management
  • Develop business cases and prepare approvals and decision proposals as well as presentations for top management.
  • Perform post-closing activities, e.g. integration of new pension plans or implementation of pension transfer concepts as part of the Pension M&A team during international transactions such as Due Diligence, negotiations, assisting financial impacts
  • Monitor new developments in digitalization and implement new tools to improve quality and make work easier 
  • Pro-actively managing internal interfaces/stakeholder like Accounting & Controlling, Legal, Human Resources und Tax, as well as trustees
What You Bring
  • Successfully completed degree in (economic) mathematics, business administration/economics with a specialization in Finance or comparable; ideally an additional actuarial education 
  • Several years of experience in the finance area (e.g. investment, banking, consultancy, audit, financial controlling), ideally also in a global pension environment (corporate or advisory)
  • Proficient German and English language skills in order to exchange ideas with colleagues and service providers nationally and internationally
  • Very good Microsoft Office skills, in particular presentations in Powerpoint
  • Initiative and careful working style combined with a pro-active and solution oriented approach on how to achieve the common goals
  • Strong communication and analytical skills and ideally experience in cross-departmental collaboration

SE’s pension management team has the financial responsibility for group-wide end-to-end global pension management (in close alignment with the HR strategy) to safeguard Siemens Energy’s financial goals.
