A Snapshot of Your Day
Within our organization we work on Electrical Systems for the most efficient conventional power generation, hydrogen producing plants including renewable energy, High voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems and Synchronous condenser making big steps toward decarbonation and High Voltage Grid stability.
Your day will start with a check-in among your colleagues to discuss your experiences made in leading automation projects and to talk about new technical approaches. Subsequent you define your work agenda and prepare for upcoming technical discussions within the interdisciplinary project team you are leading in process automation. Especially, you will discuss customer requirements or technical concepts and the implementation of them with your sub supplier. The afternoon starts with a visit in the testing area to supervise testing activities and to further discuss the implementation of customer requirements.
How You’ll make an Impact
The Electrical Systems Automation team is responsible for the Automation of Synchronous condenser or for the Building Automation of HVDC projects including the safe control and monitoring of associated processes.
• Project organization, controlling and engineering coordination of industrial Automation systems around the area of international automation projects.
• The professional emphases will be:
IT/OT safety / Cybersecurity, Interface and Signal coordination and Database handling, Communication Networks and Gateways (60870-5-104, OPC, Profinet, Profibus), testing procedures and test plans, documentation of test results, supervision of functional and performance tests either within the test field or at site, preparation of software requirements, handling of process simulations, the engineering and execution of programmable logic controller systems in consideration of measuring points, consumers and the overall system functionality.
• Provision of technical solutions and documentation to Customer requirements and the coordination with our internal and external Partners.
• Software engineering and engineering of control cabinets shall be supervised.
• Leading a small project team of engineers up to 5 people
• After all the Project Engineering and Testing will be in an open minded and international Team environment of electrical engineers.
What You Bring
• University or technician degree in Automation engineering or related field
• Professional experience (5+ years) in engineering of industrial Automation systems
• Committed to intercultural project collaboration.
• Understanding of relevant IEC standards
• German and English at professional working proficiency level
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer and supplier
• Initiative and proactive collaboration, creativity, quality and result orientation, intercultural awareness as well as the ability to work in cross functions
• Affinity to drive new ways of data driven Engineering
• Experience in leading people in a project engineering environment
