      A Snapshot of Your Day

      In this dynamic role, you will be at the helm of a diverse team of Project Managers and Support Specialists, guiding them towards achieving our project objectives and strategic business goals. The scope of projects under your leadership is diverse, spanning from straightforward upgrade tasks to extensive projects involving new unit steam turbine generator sets. Your responsibilities also extend to overseeing repairs, conducting engineering studies, and beyond. This role provides a thrilling opportunity to not only motivate team members towards achieving business objectives, but also to foster their personal growth and development. A key aspect of this position involves effective communication and collaboration with various segments of the organization, ensuring a unified approach to achieving our common goals.

      How You’ll Make an Impact

      • Be a part of the project management team and be globally responsible for our products within your area of responsibility.
      • Track business performance and project progress and be responsible for profit and losses of the projects.
      • Identify potential conflicts or issues and facilitate solutions to meet client’s needs.
      • Offer support to project managers in handling critical issues and customer concerns, ensuring smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
      • Recruit, train, and manage the team to ensure business needs are met.
      • Champion an agile environment within the organization, fostering adaptability and responsiveness. Leading your team on a personal level, you will emphasize the importance of a healthy work-life balance.
      • Assign new projects, taking into consideration factors such as project scope, lead time, skill sets, and workload. You will be entrusted with making critical decisions on project prioritization when necessary due to resource limitations.
      • As a key liaison, you interact with and support various departments including sales, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering to ensure project success and foster collaboration.
      • Identify, assess, and inform higher management of internal and external issues that affect the business.
      • Ensure safety and quality are prioritized throughout the business.
      • Be responsible for creating and sharing project specific lessons learned and eliminating/reducing project Non-Conformance Cost’s.
      • Ability to travel as business requires.

      What You Bring

      • 10+ years overall engineering experience, among which at least 5 years of prior experience serving as a manager and leader of people, preferably in Project Management, Proposal or Contract fields.
      • A bachelor's degree in engineering. Master’s degree in engineering or engineering Management preferred.
      • As a strategic manager, you possess a sincere passion for leadership and fostering individual growth.
      • Strong client relation skills, contract management, risk analysis and reporting skills.
      • Your skills extend to building and maintaining robust networks and relationships, along with the ability to effectively communicate across various levels, including with remote teams.
      • An open mentality, an appreciation for innovative insights, and a penchant for problem-solving are traits you value and exhibit.
      • Your approach to leadership emphasizes the importance of inclusion and diversity, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment for all.
      • Your background is steeped in substantial leadership experience, complemented by a strong foundation in project management. While knowledge of steam turbines is not a prerequisite, it would be beneficial.
      • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

      This job may be based in Olean, New york. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html. The base salary range for this position in Olean, New York is $105,000 - $165,000.

      Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
