About the Role

As part of the Spare Parts Department, you will provide extended support to the Product Competence Centers (PCCs) of Siemens Energy for Compression. You will be a key member of the regional Asia-Pacific team, responsible for preparing spare parts offers on behalf of the PCCs. In this role, you’ll accountable for a specific country and lead all communication during the proposal stage. You will also collaborate with Client Managers to perform proactive client site visits, resolve client parts needs, and find opportunities for parts sales .Additionally, you will serve as the local sales support contact for the assigned territory and offer basic technical support to clients as required.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Act as the primary point of contact for spare parts requests within the assigned country.
  • Prepare formal bids and proposals, using SAP and relevant tools to create and submit accurate and timely quotes. Coordinate with relevant PCCs to ensure quotations and proposals are submitted promptly. Address any issues related to Quote Response Time (QRT) as needed.
  • Lead all aspects of quotes/orders under your responsibility, including review, verification, pricing, delivery, margins, order entry, delivery alternatives, coordination, priority fee review, returned materials, credits, and customer complaints.
  • Analyze tender requirements, identify risks, and mitigate commercial risks including currency risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, insurance, export control & customs, and compliance.
  • Participate in customer discussions, including pricing, delivery improvements, and non-standard Terms and Conditions.
  • Initiate Engineering jobs for review and updates based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to establish new drawings, drawing revisions, and the use of alternative materials to address delivery and scheduling challenges.
  • Establish lead times using current manufacturing data, while directly contacting planners, buyers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Provide delivery alternatives when needed for purchased and manufactured items.
  • Apply premium charges as per published standards and engage in direct discussions with customers.
  • Review and process customer purchase orders, coordinating with Order Management and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • Send Order Acknowledgements to clients.
  • Proactively follow up on opportunity status before quote validity expires, providing extensions or revalidations when required.
  • Collaborate with Client Managers to plan visits to strategic growth businesses.
  • Review forecasted outages with Client Managers and assist in the development of Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSL) to support parts sales growth.
  • Assist clients with parts needs and transition lead generation to the sales team.
  • Guide clients in coordination with regional Client Managers) on fleet performance, improvements, outage planning, and parts management.
  • Conduct intelligence work to understand the installed machinery, reclaim parts purchased from other companies, and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Provide clients with basic product and technical support, guiding them about parts lifecycle, material characteristics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Offer fleet-specific expertise and marketing knowledge tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Achieve annual parts sales growth target.
  • Run financial results according to target objectives, optimizing gross profit and cash flow.
  • Domestic and international travel is required.

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, maintaining a professional and organized approach.
  • Strong tech-savviness with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP software (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Precision and attention to detail when working under tight timeframes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently with enthusiasm and commitment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach to achieving goals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens Energy’s products and services.
