We’re looking for passionate mechanical designer with solid background in Gas Turbine combustion to join the LGT Combustion Module (MOD CB) team as mechanical designer for combustion system parts including hydrogen and special fuels developments. In this role you will interface with project management, aero design, manufacturing, procurement to create a robust combustion system with special focus on quality and costs.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform basic to detailed mechanical design for combustion components
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications
- Interface with manufacturing and procurement for prototype and serial production to derive optimal and cost-effective design
- Contribute and participate in design reviews of mechanical systems and prototypes
- Regular participation in team meetings. Collaborating with the other team members, within and outside of the combustion department to ensure that the overall design is optimized to meet the overall design requirements of the system
- Coordinate tasks and requirements with other departments, outsourcing companies and external vendors & test facilities
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Higher degree can be used in lieu of experience.
- Experience with the following skills: detailed design of mechanical components preferably gas turbine combustion components, Stack up analysis, strong knowledge of GD& T.
- Product definition skills: Creation of PMI drawings in NX.
- Intercultural experience preferred (US, India)
- Confident with MS Office, SAP, CAD (NX), FEM (ANSYS)
- Full professional proficiency in German and English

decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
