About the Role
The Project Engineer (Technical) would be based full time on a customer site supporting an SGT-A65 Level 3 LTP. They will work with project management and technical support to forecast scheduled maintenance & gas turbine overhauls, whilst regularly analyzing maintenance plans. The PE will be responsible to track scheduled maintenance outages to understand and develop outage optimization (~30% time). The candidate will preferably have an Engineering background and work with the Technical Support Manager to analyze technical on-site issues, develop solutions, and incorporate any actions into the maintenance plan with minimal guidance or supervision from management (~50% time).
They will also support technical risk reviews, site operations and develop their skill sets by embracing the resources and knowledge at their disposals (~20% time).
How you will make an impact
- Schedule of events with major milestones and deliveries following the relevant Siemens Energy processes.
- Analyse maintenance plans and optimize based on Lessons Learned.
- Forecast scheduled maintenance & gas turbine overhauls
- Oversight of hardware demand, order placement, and receipt.
- Assist in creating work packs to support maintenance team with site outage work scope, especially Mods & Ups.
- Work closely with Technical Support to verify maintenance schedules and method statements for all scheduled and preventative maintenance activity.
- Work closely with Technical Support to develop on-site solutions and grow their Engineering knowledge/skillsets.
- Support continuous improvement as part of fulfilling the role including required documentation to capture specific improvements via the Quality team.
What you bring
- BSc in Engineering degree, Engineering certifications
- 4+ years experience in planning/engineering and/or cost management roles with knowledge of required services delivered for a related field, preferably Gas Turbines in the Oil & Gas or Power Generation Markets.
- Preferred knowledge of Siemens Energy SGT-A65 product
- Able to interact and coordinate with a worldwide regionally structured organization
- The successful applicant will be a motivated, adaptive and a self-driven individual. Ability to multitask and “think outside the box”
- Experience of working in MS Office, e.g. PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Project
