A Snapshot of Your Day

You will support our factory operations by regularly identifying, qualifying, and developing both local and international suppliers. You will lead price negotiations and perform Requests for Quotations with new and existing suppliers to ensure our products remain cost competitive. You will support the operational buyers by negotiating volumes and handling non-conformity cases. You will regularly review our supply chain and ensure its capability to support our growth, as well as its resilience in case of unforeseen events.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Your responsibility will be the negotiation of competitive prices from our various suppliers and the development of the supply chain in line with the supply chain strategy
  • You coordinate internally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Order Management and Quality to ensure the availability or required material for current or future products
  • You perform the regular work of challenging and renegotiating prices (e.g. via RfQs), identifying new potential suppliers and handling the relationship with existing ones
  • You are responsible for maintaining the correct prices in our SAP system and validate any deviations
  • You participate in company-wide, global supply chain initiatives and IT/tool roll-outs
  • Together with the head of procurement, you develop the local supply chain strategy in line with the factory and company objectives
  • You handle any supplier-caused non-conformities by claiming credits or replacements
  • You support our offer process by providing material price input to the sales department

What You Bring 

  • At least five years of operational experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • College Diploma / certification in a materials management / purchasing field, engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent negotiating and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to ensure the accurate and timely completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Proficient knowledge in SAP, the Microsoft Office suite, and highly proficient Excel
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English required
  • Technical background and experience in programming will be an advantage
