Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team lead for the Fusion Platform to join the Digital Core function and play a key role in shaping the data architecture and strategy within the organization.
FUSION is an AWS Cloud native data platform designed to leverage serverless managed infrastructure. It strongly encourages re-use and follows ‘Lean’ DevOps Operations for Central Infrastructure. FUSION platform fosters security by design and ‘zero’ tolerance of the security vulnerability. Amongst others, main components of FUSION are the support of data mesh/data product concept as well as AI and ML. You will be responsible to functionally lead a team to design and implement the respective data and platform architecture that support the efficient management and utilization of data across various business functions and technical ecosystems. You either directly lead the respective projects or closely work together and steer / consult data architecture and engineering teams

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Shape the technical SE data & information architecture roadmap and support the framing of SE governance initiatives with solid data & information architecture
- Provide technical expertise for continued maintenance and enhancement of the Enterprise Information and Data Architecture capabilities
- Develop conceptual views of related data sub-architectures (e.g. database, data integration, data warehouse/business intelligence, reporting, metadata, and content management architectures)
- Optimizing overall data/information flow by reducing redundancy and enabling accessibility within security boundaries
- Drive state-of-the-art architecture artefacts and data architecture patterns
- Identify data-related business requirements and service standards (e.g. transaction processing speed, data mining and reporting capabilities, etc.)
- Develops and drives the improvement of data models and data flows across operations
- Functionally lead your team in our cutting-edge tech projects with the right methodologies, optimal data structures, data processing pipelines and data management strategies
- You continue to strategically advance data platforms as a topic internally
- You develop and monitor KPIs / metrics to optimize data quality
- Document and present methodologies, procedures, and project results to stakeholders across different functions
- You are aware of and understand emerging technologies and latest trends in the field of data quality
- You provide guidance to your team and mentor team members to realize their full potential
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Around 10 years of hands on experience with Data Mesh, ML / AI development and Operations.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts, methodologies & frameworks
- Deep technology expertise in the design and development of large scale data platforms and data applications
- Understanding with ML Life Cycle: Data Preprocessing, Training Pipeline, Inference Pipeline, Model monitoring, Post Processing as well as understanding of the MLOps.
- Experience in operating CI CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipeline following the DevOps process.
- Experience in working with JIRA and Confluence and Agile delivery model
- Deep understanding of data acquisition and processing, distributed processing
- Familiar with architecture principles and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Experience in data architecture for cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expertise in providing information and data architectural support services across solution architecture, segment architecture, and enterprise architecture
- Good to have: Experience in an industry-related environment (e.g. energy sector).
- You have a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills along. You navigate easily in a global and multicultural environment.
- You demonstrate leadership and coaching skills to collaborate across multicultural, global teams and develop engineering talent
- You are open-minded and willing to learn and constantly improve own skills
- You are passionate about data and analytics, and driving data value across all parts of an organization and ecosystems
- You have excellent writing and communication skills in English, knowledge of German or any other language is a plus.
