A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Subcontractor Operations Manager, you will liaise with several preferred subcontractors who provide Siemens Gamesa with offshore wind technicians across various skill trades, including mechanics, electricians, and logistics operators. All staffing requirements are defined by the SGRE Wind Competence Training Matrix, which outlines the mandatory and task‑specific qualifications required for each type of allocation. You will work closely with the Subcontractor Manager, who defines the sourcing strategy and supports you with contractual and commercial matters.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In your daily work, you ensure that every requirement is fully in place before technicians are deployed to one of our sites. This includes verifying:

  • Training and mandatory competencies
  • Certificates and medical clearances
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Onboarding plans
  • Travel arrangements
  • Deployment timelines and site-specific requirements

All actions must follow the established SRS operational ordering procedures.

Once technicians are deployed, you will monitor and report their performance and quality of work, maintaining close alignment with key project stakeholders including: Subcontractor Manager, Site Planner, Site Managers, Installation Leads, Project Management

You will maintain planning systems, contribute to weekly and operational progress meetings, and represent SRS Operations in relevant project forums.
