Software Development Engineer—Backend

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Backend Software Developer, your daily activities will focus on building and maintaining software applications that support the core business processes. You will work closely with other developers to design, develop, and implement software solutions that are efficient, scalable, and secure. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with teams to ensure software quality and project success. You will also work closely with product owners to assess feature feasibility for project execution. Your day will include troubleshooting software issues, optimizing performance, and implementing new features in line with business needs. Additionally, you will collaborate in the continuous improvement of the development process and contribute to the growth and development of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.

As a backend software developer, you will play a key role in developing the services utilized by our client applications.  Your contributions will be measured by the quality, efficiency, and scalability of the solutions you develop. Your impact will include:

• ·       Developing and delivering high-quality software applications that meet business needs.
• ·       Ensuring the software meets performance, security, and scalability standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software solutions.

What You Bring

• ·       A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• ·       3+ years of professional experience in software development
• ·       Knowledge and experience with C# and the .Net platform
• ·       Experience with development of distributed cloud applications, with AWS experience preferred.
• ·       Understanding of relational databases and SQL
• ·       (Basic) knowledge of machine-learning application flow
• ·       (Basic) knowledge of Queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ
• ·       Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code.
• ·       Nice to have: Experience with Python and machine-learning related python libraries
• ·       Nice to have: Experience with Entity Framework
• ·        A passion for learning new technologies and improving software development practices.
