This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team selling the best Grid Automation solutions in the market. Advanced Bid Engineer will support proposals activity for Grid Automation Solutions in a global environment and report directly to Tender Management Head. The role will require close coordination and teamwork with Business Development / Sales / Application Engineering resources.

Located in Split or Zagreb (Croatia), you will be a part of the team of Pro Integris d.o.o. who is the 100% Siemens Energy subsidiary/legal entity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Create proposals for EPC’s and end customers within field of Protection and Control system in HV / MV substations including hardware and software scope of supply.
• Ensure assurance of the preparation of the proposals in high quality and in timeline with the customer requirements and company guidelines.
• Analyze customer technical specifications to better understand aspects of the product and solutions.
• Close cooperation and coordination with technical experts within team.
• Develop, edits, and writes original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of assigned industry structure, applications, terminology, trends and issues.
• Discover and understand customer’s primary business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
• Validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid.
• Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
• Understand the Transmission Utility market as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities and competition.

What You Bring 

• University degree in electrical / power system engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with substation control and protection system in energy transmission and distribution.
• Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e., financial strategic and tactical thinking etc.
• Fluent in German will be plus.
• Technical and Business type verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of the power system transmission / distribution market and technologies, mainly in protection and control and HMI solutions, SCADA and cyber security.
• Result oriented with strong analytical thinking and customer focus.
• Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to win.
• Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel up to 10% locally and internationally (Europe mainly).
