A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will create strategic proposals for global projects, focusing on Reciprocating Compressors within Siemens Energy's client base. You will collaborate with stakeholders, negotiate with sub-suppliers, and support Sales Managers in developing technical and commercial strategies. Your role will be key in advancing the green hydrogen energy transition, positioning Siemens Energy as a leader in this innovative field.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop detailed proposals for Reciprocating Compressor product based on customer Request For Quotation (RFQ), which includes reviewing the RFQ, commenting on the Customer’s Technical Specifications, performing compressor equipment selections, and preparing cost analysis and price.
  • Coordinate with internal Siemens Energy departments including Siemens Energy Regional Coordination Group, Operation-based departments, and the Field Service organization, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Engage and negotiate with major sub-Suppliers to create mutually beneficial client solutions, ensuring the best possible proposal is presented.
  • Complete the Risk Analysis Management process to identify and mitigate any potential risks associated with the proposal.
  • Assist and support the Sales Manager in driving the Energy transition with early client engagement and technical support to best orientate client and position Siemens Energy Equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager in developing Technical and Commercial strategies, directing integration of technical activities, products, and services, and coordinating and participating in client clarification meetings and discussions.
  • As the most senior member of the Łódź reciprocating compressor bid management team, your leadership will help train new bid management team members.
What You Bring
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Have at least 10 years of combined experience in bid management, sales, product/package engineering, and related roles specific to reciprocating compressors.
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in bid management application engineering, including reciprocating compressor product selection, supplier engagement, and knowledge of Siemens Energy bid management pricing tools.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and interpreting Client requisitions and specifications (RFQs) for Reciprocating Compressor applications.
  • High degree of knowledge of API 618 and familiarity with Naroda manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in developing RFQs and supplier technical negotiation for major buyouts, including main drive motors, lube oil consoles, and other auxiliary equipment.
  • Possess excellent English proficiency; working knowledge of German is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate a positive, cooperative personality with strong team player skills, and be willing to work in our dynamic Łódź office, contributing to a vibrant and productive atmosphere.
  • Be open to domestic and international travel in support of training, project presentations, bid clarification, and project kick-off meetings.
