A Snapshot of Your Day

An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced business development professional to join a service focused team for all rotating equipment. The role involves developing sales strategy and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities include conducting market research, formulating sales strategies and working with cross-functional teams to generate new business.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential new business opportunities in the service field.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen our financial performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and presentations to senior management (Business Area Sales, Head of Business Unit).
  • Ensure compliance with already established sales targets on the consumption of the market potential within its scope of delivery and execution in Romania, guaranteeing customer satisfaction over a long period of time. 
  • Identify, focus and open new sales channels to increase the sales volume of the department.
  • Engage teams horizontally to build the market strategy.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in the region to identify potential new business opportunities.
  • To provide regular reports to executive management as well as gain their support on strategic initiatives.
  • Grow and maintain an active project pipeline with high forecasting accuracy in Sales Force.
  • Understand customer needs and identify new business opportunities within the Siemens Energy portfolio. Continuous preparation of short, medium and long term analysis for customers. Negotiating discounts and contract terms and conditions internally and externally. Customer and partner network development along with implementation of sales strategies.
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices and utilize this knowledge to inform business strategy. Participate in marketing and promotional activities for specific products and promote them to the market. Present commercial and technical product offerings to the end customer.
  • Report to the Head of BU the fulfillment of targets and continuous review of forecasts for the development of the power generation equipment service market.
  • Go on business trips: mainly domestic, occasionally depending on market and business development opportunities to other locations in the region. Continually visit customers, analyze and act on customer requests. 

What You Bring:

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the energy industry, particularly in the service sector - e.g. technology organizations, consulting organizations, energy sales related portfolios.
  • Strong background in business development, sales strategy execution and development.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to successfully build stakeholder relationships, lead and manage a cross-functional team, including product lines, legal, finance, marketing, and engineering departments.
  • Knowledge of market trends, strategic and customer regulations.
  • Excellent skills to use Project Management tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
