A Snapshot of Your Day:
As Sales Manager for Data Center Power Generation Solutions, you will play a crucial role in expanding our data center business. You will build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the Data Center market, collaboratively create technical solutions for Gas Turbine-driven backup or primary power supply to Data Centers and negotiate and finalize deals. A deep understanding of the Data Center Infrastructure market, familiarity with relevant market players, and awareness of the latest developments are essential. Additionally, a proven track record in Sales within the Technology or Infrastructure industry is required.
How you will make an impact:
- New Business Development: Identify, target, and acquire new clients in need of data center solutions jointly with our Business Development teams.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored data center solutions
- Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive growth in data center new unit sales, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
- Proposal Development & Negotiation: Prepare and present compelling proposals to clients, negotiate contracts, and close deals that align with business goals and profitability targets.
- Collaboration with internal Teams: Work closely with other Business Areas within SE as well as with Hubs to ensure client needs are met and solutions are delivered successfully.
- Marketing: Organize roadshows, attend conferences and marketing events to position Gas Services portfolio & solutions.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
What you bring:
- Several years of experience in data center, IT infrastructure, or technology-related industries
- Highly experienced sales professional
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. MBA is a plus
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a client base
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, network, and storage
- Strong strategic understanding to translate customer requirements into appropriate solutions
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in an intercultural environment with cross-regional working teams
- Willingness to travel on a regular base
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
