We are looking for a quality professional to support the Repair team in Global Service Operations. Passion, creativity, and continuous improvement – if those describe you, then look no further for your next opportunity!

 

In your role, you will collaborate with suppliers, internal and external, and Repair Strategy and Engineering teams with a shared target to secure qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers. You will be supporting supplier qualifications, product and process qualifications, addressing nonconformances, root cause analyses, supplier audits, data analysis, process improvements, quality reviews, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.

 

In a matrix organization, you will be also part of the Global Service Operations quality team and with be collaborating, as well, with the quality teams in the Regional Service Units, Central Execution Unit, Gas services, and Siemens Energy EQS. Through your expertise, you will support Global Service Operations in meeting the quality objectives, with focus on reducing nonconformance costs, and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Main interface to repair supplier on quality aspects. Collaborate with repair engineering to refine processes to increase manufacturability to improve quality and decrease costs.
  • Interface with procurement and order management on supplier quality topics.
  • Assessment of supplier's quality and inspection capabilities through audit focused on quality management system & processes etc.
  • Support Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) providing quality and technical support to suppliers to succeed in meeting Siemens Energy technical and quality requirements for repair processes.
  • Approve supplier qualification elements via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plan and FMEAs.
  • Review inspections and test plans according to Siemens Energy drawings and specifications.
  • Perform product inspections during and after execution of Product and Process Qualification. Inspection includes visual, dimensional & geometrical, functional test and review of inspection reports.
  • Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with root cause corrective and preventive action as needed.
  • Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality performance. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and definition of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
  • Assist Repair Strategy team in identifying new suppliers and provide recommendations for repair strategy.
  • Comply with and implement the protocols, policies, guidelines, and proficiencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality etc.)
  • Business partner for RSUs quality organizations. Representing your team in local quality meetings and coordinating related actions.
  • Willing to learn new skills such as EHS aspects of supplier surveillance.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.), preferably with an Engineering focus, Business, or related field with 5+ years proven industry experience.
  • Experience in Supplier Chain Management is a plus
  • Experience in Product and Process Qualification process which is equivalent to PPAP / APQP.
  • Experience in leading projects and working with virtual cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of gas turbine components with gas turbine repair experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing methods, standardization, and the interpretation of technical drawings.
  • Good knowledge of materials and their properties, as well as understanding of basic production and repair techniques such as welding, heat treatments, hardening, mechanical processing, coatings, and related inspection techniques.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Excellent team skills with demonstrated ability to motivate in achieving desired results.
  • Ability to work without supervision to fulfill the tasks.
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Preferred skills: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean / Six Sigma, Quality Module for SAP
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% of time.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
