A Snapshot of Your Day

The Regional Proposal Director leads the Proposal Team and support the Regional EAD Sales and Leadership Team to delivery and improve regional targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The primary responsibility of a Regional Proposal Director is to lead Proposal Managers to meet and exceed internal and external customers’ expectation, including:

  • Guiding Proposal Managers in developing high quality and competitive proposal in a timely manner
  • Review, streamline and improve the RFQ to Order process in the Asia Pacific region
  • Coordinate and collaborate with relevant functions, such as Supply Chain, Project, Engineering, Suppliers, Commercial Sales and Regional Management on matters related to proposal activities
  • Provide guidance to team and Management on technical solution / technology preference (or seek technical expertise’ support)
  • Ensure the RFQ to Order process is adhered by the team
  • Lead or be a key member of the cost review process and champion cost optimize (with supply chain, project management, et.)
  • Guide team members on relevant commercial matters (commercial instruments costing, payment terms, performance/process LDs, etc.)
  • Lead and support proposal and price approval process (LOA process)
  • Establish a regular proposal team meetings/update, team members are not located in a single location
  • Provide periodic update on the Proposal Team and Opportunities
  • Support growth and development of the Proposal Team
  • Support Risk and Opportunity Assessment during the bid phase
  • Support handing over to project team after order is received
  • Lead or support engagement and presentation, meetings with customers
  • Assist and review Salesforce entries by Sales
  • Participate in the development of quantified Value Propositions
  • Provide market insights and feedback to Technology and Innovation, Marketing and Strategy
  • Coordinate discussions with Proposal Team globally on best practices
  • Lead by ‘customer-first’ principle and drive process simplification or improvement
  • Understand the customer’s process and prioritize work to meet the demand
  • Identify cost- or time-saving opportunities inside the proposal development process
  • Participate in client kick-off meetings
  • Conducts business affairs with the highest standards of ethics and integrity

What You Bring

  • Electrical, or Automation Engineering Degree from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience
  • Resourceful, ability to adapt as market dynamic changes
  • Knowledge in electrification Automation and Digitalization covers a broad segment and applications, ability and willingness to work across different ‘verticals’
  • Experienced in team management
  • Courage to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, select engineering programs
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Proven strong ability to collaborate with others in a cross-cultural team environment
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language, bilingual & international experience a plus
  • International travel is required to support team coordination, project presentations, bid clarification and project kick off meetings
  • Strong technical background on electrification and/or automation
