A Snapshot of Your Day
You work at the center of project execution interfaces, ensuring that collaboration between Grid Solutions substation projects and Siemens Energy internal sub‑suppliers functions reliably, transparently, and efficiently across Asia Pacific & China. Your primary focus is on optimizing these interfaces—clarifying responsibilities, improving planning quality, and preventing execution disruptions caused by misalignment between functions.
A significant part of your role is strengthening the project–logistics–factory interface, particularly with manufacturing facilities delivering transformers and switchgear. You support project teams and logistics functions in aligning schedules, material readiness, transport concepts, delivery sequencing, and site logistics considerations. Through structured coordination and constructive engagement, you help ensure that logistics execution supports site progress and does not become a bottleneck for project delivery.
In parallel, you support and fine‑tune project interfaces with internal Service organizations (installation and commissioning) and Substation Automation (Digital Grid) teams. You help clarify planning assumptions, milestones, and dependencies to ensure smooth handovers and reliable execution.
Across the portfolio, you analyze interface performance, identify recurring friction points, and support projects and country organizations with structured improvements. Where necessary, you escalate systemic or critical interface issues through established regional governance channels. In addition, you support regional management by consolidating execution‑ and interface‑related insights from projects and executing focused improvement initiatives that strengthen overall execution reliability and transparency.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Optimize planning and execution interfaces between substation projects and Siemens Energy internal sub‑suppliers, with a strong focus on logistics and factory and I&C coordination for transformers and switchgear.
- Advise project teams and logistics functions on logistics execution excellence, including material readiness, transport planning, delivery sequencing, etc.
- Strengthen factory–project–logistics collaboration by clarifying roles, milestones, and dependencies, and supporting early resolution of interface‑related risks.
- Support and fine‑tune project interfaces with internal Service (installation and commissioning) and Substation Automation (Digital Grid) organizations as a secondary focus.
- Analyze interface and logistics performance across the project portfolio, identify recurring issues, and drive structured improvements, standardization, and best‑practice sharing.
- Act as an early‑warning and escalation instance for critical or systemic interface and logistics risks through established regional governance channels
- Support regional management by consolidating execution‑ and interface‑related information from projects and country organizations and executing focused regional improvement initiatives and special topics.
What You Bring
- Experience in project execution, logistics coordination, project planning, or PMO‑type roles within complex EPC or infrastructure projects.
- Strong practical understanding of logistics and factory interfaces
- Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple internal stakeholders, including projects, logistics, factories, and service organizations.
- Ability to analyze execution and interface issues across multiple projects and translate them into practical, actionable improvements.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct line authority.
- Experience in Asia Pacific & China execution environments, with sensitivity to regional regulatory, cultural, and supply‑chain differences; fluency in English required, Mandarin and Bahasa are a plus
