The R&D Project Manager drive and manages, with full responsibility, the new products and service-related Research and Development (R&D) projects within Compression Business. This includes managing the scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring new developments are launched on-time and on-budget in the marketplace, maintaining Siemens energy’s strong position in the marketplace. The role is based in Brazil, but collaborates closely and actively with technical teams, portfolio managers, supply chain, sales and marketing, engineering, and other collaborators, and senior management globally.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will collaborate with Technical Leads and Resource Owners to create project plans in Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and manage the project throughout the Product Development Process (PDP) within the defined requirements. You are fully accountable for the delivery of the defined scope.
- You ensure business success and satisfaction of the customer ensuring professional stakeholder management and identify Project KPI’s, determines and manages an effective communication plan to report project status and forecast, while acting as the single point of contact for stakeholder queries
- You balance the project scope through Change Request Management and manage risk by devising suitable strategies for risk mitigation based on knowledge of business risk appetites.
- You coach, lead, and motivate the team, even when faced with unexpected challenges, and identify, recognize, and congratulate strong performances by the team, while taking action upon seeing areas for improvement.
What you Bring
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years of Project Management experience or a combination of Project Management and relevant Technical Lead or equivalent work required; those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level. Strong leadership skills, self motivated drive, and passion for ownership culture
- Advanced knowledge of turbomachinery products, technology, and product development practices; RDPM certification, PMP certification, or recognised equivalent preference.

The position is in the Product Development Office, within Compression Product Management, which is responsible for delivering all Product & Service Development projects within compression Business globally.
