A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Planner within our Gas Services division, you will be responsible within the project team and at the project construction site for the preparation and controlling of the integrated project time schedule in accordance with the relevant process procedure for complex and high risk turnkey projects or within a consortium.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and optimize the overall project time schedule for complex turnkey or consortium projects, which typically involve around 3000 to 5000 activities, using a reference time schedule as a foundation for planning.
  • Adapt and refine the time schedule to meet specific project requirements by employing proven methods that ensure the successful completion of the project within the designated timeframe.
  • Coordinate the time schedule with the project team and consortium partners to facilitate the timely release of the Project Manager (PM), ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
  • Present the Siemens Energy Time Management concept convincingly to customers, consortium partners, and suppliers, with the goal of applying our standards while minimizing the need for adjustments.
  • Provide support for Contract Management (CM) and Proposal Planning by integrating time management considerations into the overall project strategy and documentation.
  • Continuously monitor and follow up on the time schedule, taking into account boundary conditions and collaborating with different project managers, consortium partners, and site staff to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Conduct regular checks to control progress and ensure that target dates are met across various disciplines, including those involving consortium partners and on-site personnel.
  • Collect and analyze relevant schedule data to evaluate the impact on project progress, including factors such as manhours, quantities, and contractual milestones, and communicate findings to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare internal reports related to the time schedule, such as MTA, S-curves, EVM, variance reports, and critical path reports, to provide insights into project performance and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and document all claim-relevant delays and corresponding events in a delay register, ensuring that this information is archived for future analysis and claim preparation, including activities related to consortium partners.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus project management and process management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the execution of turnkey and consortium projects, work at construction sites /regional unit execution
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera software
  • Advanced understanding in regards of time management, process management and associated PM knowledge areas (interface management, document management, contract management, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German with the ability to present complex planning data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with well developed problem solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to work on projects abroad
  • Driving license

Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of € 62.250 gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
