A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Manager for Reciprocating Compressors at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of projects, ensuring accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Your role will involve overseeing the supply of gas compressors and related control systems, ensuring successful project execution with predictable outcomes from order entry through the warranty period. This includes managing both new unit installations and revamp projects. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality results, meeting client expectations, and maintaining Siemens Energy's standards of excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with Regional selling teams to support the order capture process as needed.
  • Oversee the order entry and transition process for assigned projects, ensuring all required information is received and adherence to the Order Entry Process.
  • Initiate projects through formalities and conduct internal and external kickoff meetings.
  • Take full ownership of project scope, budget, and schedule from the pre-order phase through to order award and execution.
  • Fully understand and ensure compliance with all contract provisions, regularly updating functional representatives on key aspects.
  • Develop project plans and liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to foster relationships conducive to successful project completion.
  • Monitor and report project progress and status to management and clients in accordance with the project plan.
  • Ensure all Siemens Energy products are delivered in line with the project plan.
  • Develop and implement project-specific risk management plans to proactively manage technical and commercial risks, minimizing company exposure.
  • Monitor and maintain the project budget, initiating corrective actions as needed to meet financial objectives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Heavy Machinery Manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience with sales proposals and a solid understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices, and schedule management tools like MS Project; PMP certification is preferable.
  • Demonstrated experience in directly engaging with end customers.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards such as API and ASME.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on problem-solving, results orientation, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to lead and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Capability to work constructively with all stakeholders, fostering both internal and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in negotiating with client representatives and managing contract scope changes.
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems, including standard business applications like MS Office.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Polish, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with a strong commitment to following processes and continual process improvement.
  • Willingness to work in our dynamic Łódź office, contributing to a vibrant and productive atmosphere, and openness to travel for service assignments on-site (up to 5%).
