A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a Product Engineer to design high voltage circuit breakers in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications. This position requires the ability to work well with customers and colleagues in Drafting, and also the ability to appraise quality, adequacy, economy, and practicality of engineering design and drafting work.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Direct design structured with daily interaction of R&D along with Drafting personnel to assure proper execution of the design in accordance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Translate those customer specification requirements into production Bill of Materials (BOM's).
- Participate in the resolution of design related problems that arise during the manufacturing process, or after product delivery.
- Knowledge of relevant IEEE/IEC/ANSI standards is also a plus.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
- Experience in control circuit and / or circuit breaker design preferred. (New engineering graduates with co-op/intern experience can be considered)
- Knowledge of general manufacturing, product testing, and/or substation design is a plus.
- Previous experience using AutoCAD, SAP, and/or electrical programming software is preferred.
- Requires excellent communication skills (oral and written) for both internal partners and external customers.
- Works well in a team environment as well as independently.
