Join Siemens Energy as a Power Plant Engineer and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of Operations & Maintenance Services. You will play a crucial role in supporting the production of Bulk Electrical Energy for a Co-Op market. Imagine collaborating with diverse teams to ensure that facility operations, equipment performance, and maintenance activities not only meet but exceed safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be key in driving improvements and ensuring seamless operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Back-Office teams to support facility improvements.
  • Create and review technical drawings, facilitating design enhancements and managing the change process effectively.
  • Oversee contractor coordination and vendor support for construction and installation projects.
  • Ensure all facility operations align with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across facility operations and documentation processes.

What You Bring

  • You have 5 or more years of proven experience in industrial maintenance, operations, or engineering within a power plant environment. Candidates with more experience may be considered at a higher level, while those with less experience are encouraged to apply.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 3 or more years of experience, or you possess 10 years of equivalent related work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • You possess strong mechanical, electrical (LV, MV, and HV systems), and automation troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Gas and Steam turbines used in power generation is preferred.
  • You have knowledge of power plant environmental emissions/discharge compliance and reporting.
  • Familiarity with NERC regulations and reporting is essential.
  • You are experienced with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tools.
  • Extensive experience with power plant processes and controls, specifically the Siemens Energy T3000 control system, would be a plus.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to contributing to a high-performance team is a must.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
