How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Support the technical team of multidisciplinary engineering experts, developing piping & layout concepts to apply Siemens Energy portfolio in strategic decarbonization markets.
  • Track existing and new products and technologies in Siemens Energy and apply these to build unique state-of-the-art value propositions.
  • Keep abreast of competition, emerging technologies and solutions, market trends and policy related to the decarbonization markets being pursued.
  • Support business development professionals in understanding the customer’s decarbonization goals and project drivers and translate these into comprehensible and structured work packages.
  • Responsible for the development and review of the piping & layout discipline content developed by the team throughout the full life cycle of an opportunity, including presentations, proposals, project engineering documentation and technical engineering deliverables.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years' work experience.
  • In-depth understanding and experience in all engineering stages of projects (conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC), including the typical activities, deliverables and level of detail required at each stage.
  • Proven experience in developing high-spec piping & layout equipment arrangements for complex onshore and offshore units, with specific emphasis on large compressors.
  • In-depth knowledge of predictive safety standards (GAPS and CCPS) applicable to the layout of industrial facilities.
  • Experience in the mechanical design of static equipment, including pressure vessels, and heat exchangers, and structural design to support the piping & layout activities required by the project.
  • Experience developing material take-offs for projects at the conceptual, Pre-FEED and FEED.
  • Experience in work with diverse engineering staff and multi-disciplinary projects, including, mechanical, I&C, electrical, safety, layout, piping, civil, estimating and project controls.
  • Knowledge of industry processes, particularly on H2, CCUS, Clean Fuels and Decarbonized Heat spaces, project development, commercial arrangements and business models commonly utilized in the decarbonization industry.
  • Experience working with third-party licensed technology, including interface management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge in both formal and informal settings.
