A Snapshot of Your Day
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and follow the procedures, documentation of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures timely, safe, and efficient handling of inventory by doing physically and using company’s devices/systems. Is responsible to physical inventory, count, receive, move, issue, track and put away the goods in the Warehouse.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Material Handling & Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials for shipment or internal production use.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Replenish stock locations and maintain proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO as required).
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and EHS guidelines.
  • Share the knowledge with other colleagues and collaborate with other areas.

SAP / SRP System Responsibilities

  • Use SAP, MS Windows, MS Office, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Bar code scanners or any other electronic technology from the company to process goods receipts, goods issues, transfers and inventory adjustments.
  • Enter and update material movements such as receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping according to the process and procedures.
  • Monitor system notifications and resolve transactional errors or exceptions.
  • Identifying materials, printing labels, pick lists, and warehouse documents from SAP/SRP.
  • Ensure real-time accuracy of inventory through proper scanning and documentation.

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow company’s quality procedures and ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Identify and report damaged, non-conforming, or expired inventory.
  • Comply with safety protocols, hazardous materials handling procedures, and equipment standards.

Skill

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, including common transaction codes for receiving, picking, and inventory.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, barcode scanning systems).
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Self-started and ability to work as a team and complete the assigned tasks.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with MM, WM, EWM in ECC or S/4HANA, or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean warehousing, 5S, and inventory control best practices.
  • Prior work in supply chain, logistics, or distribution centers.
