A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team at the Gas Turbine Factory, where your leadership will ensure that our maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently! As the first shift Supervisor for Maintenance, you will coordinate a talented group of maintenance trades and technicians, guiding them through troubleshooting and repairs of our vital machines and process equipment. You will kick off each shift with engaging toolbox meetings focused on Safety, Quality, and assignments, while also being hands-on to assist your team when needed. Your proactive approach and visibility on the floor will empower your team to uphold safe working practices and foster a culture of collaboration. Get ready to communicate effectively with your team and internal customers, ensuring that everyone is aligned and ready to tackle the day’s challenges!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will ensure that all maintenance personnel adhere to safe work practices while overseeing, monitoring, and validating compliance with maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to defined guidelines and achievement of performance standards.
  • Plan resources for routine maintenance projects and work order repairs as well as emergency maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Determine work assignments, manage time and attendance, and mentor your team, and coordinate training to support maintenance needs and skill development.
  • Manage overtime effectively to meet customer needs while maintaining budget targets and communicate effective turnovers to the next shift and plant production management.
  • Be present during scheduled plant shutdowns and manage teams effectively and be on call for emergencies and weekend coverage as needed.

What You Bring

  • You have 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with CNC machines, PLCs, and process equipment and preferred qualifications include an AAS or BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • You possess 3+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • A strong understanding of root cause analysis is essential.
  • You have knowledge of managing department budgets and manpower costs.
  • Record-keeping skills for tracking progression and qualifications are required.
  • Familiarity with computer maintenance management software systems is a plus as well as experience with lean manufacturing principles is preferred.

You must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
