A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Industrial Cybersecurity Solutions Architect at Siemens Energy, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cybersecurity solutions within the energy sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design of solution architectures that integrate with the Siemens Energy Omnivise Ecosystem (OES), a platform at the heart of our digital offerings for critical infrastructure. You'll leverage your deep understanding of power plant operations and cybersecurity requirements to develop new, scalable solutions and service concepts, while ensuring adherence to standards such as IEC 62443 and NERC CIP.
Your impact will be felt through the creation of innovative use cases and go-to-market strategies that reflect market trends, customer insights, and sales feedback. With direct experience in OT and ICS environments, you'll offer hands-on expertise with industry-leading technologies including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Siemens Scalance, and Siemens Ruggedcom, and apply your networking proficiency across the Purdue Model.
On the network architecture front, your expertise in troubleshooting, understanding of network concepts, and hands-on experience with various networking hardware will be crucial. You'll be expected to articulate complex networking topics and implement best practices for network security and efficiency.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Cultivate collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the organization, run network support for various projects, and ensure remote access is effectively handled, including AWS Cloud and VPN configurations.
- Contribute to business support functions, including remote access management and local support for remote workers.
- Support technical sales by engaging with customers, demonstrating products, estimating project efforts, and designing both high-level and detailed architecture for execution.
- Ensure customer success by serving as their advocate within the company, aiding service managers with licensing and support, and coordinating team efforts to address issues promptly.
- Back-up SOC operations with threat intelligence, detection tuning, SIEM design, and investigation support and stay abreast of compliance regulations and standards, ensuring security controls and segmentation are accurately applied.
- Supervise project timelines, ensure tasks are completed on schedule, and provide advanced technical support for implementation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited academic institution; Master’s degree or MBA preferred. 10+ years of total professional experience with at least 5 years of experience as a solution architect. Applicants must have one or more active cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, CISM, GICSP, GRID, GCIP, GSEC, Security+
- Ability to design new solution concepts, including prospective solution architecture and commercial model.
- Cyber Familiarity with FERC, NERC CIP, NRC, etc. cybersecurity regulations are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
