A Snapshot of Your Day 

As the Global Head of Sales for the Distribution Transformer Business, you will lead a dynamic and diverse international sales team, responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans across the global landscape. This includes identifying business needs, market potential, and innovative strategies for Distribution Transformers, ensuring business growth and long-term success while maintaining a steadfast focus on safety, zero harm, and customer satisfaction. You are accountable for achieving and surpassing financial targets, spearheading global initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity within the organization. This role oversees regional Sales Heads, and is pivotal in aligning global sales strategies with local market dynamics. Not only are you accountable for the financial results according to set targets, but you are also consistently striving to exceeding them, successfully leading the team to reach an OE of ~800 Mio EUR. How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies to ensure customer engagement, operational efficiency, and strategic growth across all regions, with an emphasis on customer proximity and effective risk management
  • Oversee and harmonize sales and execution structures globally, ensuring the deployment of best practices and resources to optimize regional performance and achieve strategic objectives
  • Establish a unified global sales strategy, incorporating go-to-market measures, regional portfolio adjustments, and specific sales tactics in coordination with support functions and regional hubs
  • Act as the primary interface to factories at a global level, providing market and competitive intelligence, and ensuring a cohesive approach across all regions moreover ensure the regional business strategy is understood and cascaded down and communicated effectively in the organization
  • Champion a high-performance sales organization built on talent, diversity, and motivation, focusing on skills development, talent identification, succession planning, and continuous improvement
  • Enable a high-performing culture focusing on learning and continuous improvement, with an engaged and motivated workforce
  • Manage global compliance and risk, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and resolve technical and commercial challenges effectively
  • Position the organization as a strategic partner with all customers and sales channels to deliver mutually profitable business solutions to develop customer loyalty and satisfaction on a sustainable basis and to penetrate new market verticals with potential for long term growth
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering, Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Business or related field with relevant sales management experience in Distribution Transformer equipment, solutions, and service with a short to medium duration sales cycle and a deep understanding of the DT market
  • Deep understanding of DT Market and business models as well as international experience (multiple geographical locations) that translates into the ability to work in and with different cultures
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing large, diverse teams across multiple geographical locations, with a strong ability to work within and appreciate different cultures and skills to organize effectively, delegate responsibility and solve problems quickly 
  • Expertise in marketing, negotiation, sales planning, CRM utilization, business forecasting,  and an entrepreneurial mindset with Profit & Loss experience
  • Very strong communication skills with extensive experience in interacting with internal and external executive management on complex technical, commercial and customer issues
  • Willingness to travel regionally and on occasion globally to support the needs of the business and our customers. 
  • Experience and proven track record in people management including managing of managers, further versatile interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own time effectively to achieve targets, particularly in a multi stakeholder environment
  • High business results orientation that allows you to steer virtual teams coupled with excellent communication skills towards a structured, analytical, and responsible way of working
