job description

• Instrumentation and control engineer for maintenance work at the Ashdod power station
• Locating and solving instrumentation and control faults,  including performing simulations
• Regular planned and unplanned maintenance work at the power station, under work procedures, data analysis and report submission.
• Responding to malfunctions and resolving problems  in all  the fields of instrumentation (including programmed controllers)
• The work includes the ability to analyse and understand faults and processes until they are resolved.
• Reading and understanding technical material
• The work is a teamwork with Siemens Energy England as well as with the customer and includes tours in the field.
• The job is full-time on site and includes on-call on a weekly basis. Work on weekends and holidays when needed - mandatory

Requirements

• Certified instrumentation and control engineer - mandatory
• Electrical / control / machinery / mechatronics / instrumentation / chemistry / electronics engineer - mandatory.
• Experience working in a power plant or in an industrial/heavy/manufacturing facility - an advantage
• Previous experience in the field of gas turbines / steam / pumps / generators / air compressors - an advantage
• Wide experience in programmed controllers (Siemens / Helen Bradley) instrumentation and computerized environment
• Knowledge and understanding of industrial control systems and tools
• English at a good level with an emphasis on reading and speaking
• Willingness to be on call/work on weekends and holidays when needed
• Previous experience in process plant maintenance - mandatory
• Master electrician's license or higher - an advantage
• Experience in the field of control - an advantage
• Knowledge of reading blueprints, process charts and specifications / technical literature - mandatory
• Familiarity with DCS systems, computing and process information
• Work in a computerized environment, mastery of Office software and technical information systems - mandatory
• High motivation, personal responsibility, strong human relations, initiative, ability to work under pressure  and creativity are required
