A Snapshot of Your Day 

The 3D Design Automation (PD DAT) team is responsible for developing and maintaining pioneering software applications for selecting and automating products within Siemens Energy. As a Software Development professional, you are expected to adopt existing methodologies and apply new techniques to fully understand internal client requirements and transform those into software artifacts, to support external clients. You will work in a distributed team of multidisciplinary domain experts highly skilled in engineering and engineering automation software development. The PD DAT India team is a lean and agile team, using SCRUM Methodology and Extreme Programming enabling rapid development. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Mechanical Designers experienced with CAD with an aptitude in logic based parametric manipulation of complex 2-D/3-D CAD geometry. 
  • Responsible for assisting NX OPEN developer in the development of CAD/CAM/CAE centric design automation programs, applications, and processes. 
  • Support the Product Digitalization group’s direction and vision regarding the development of new Design Automation Software. 
  • Work in a flexible, multi-functional, team based, development environment. 
  • Ability to appreciate the significance of complex mathematical models and their implementation in the development of Design Automation applications. 
  • User of Siemen’s PLM software. 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor of Technology /Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with at least 1to 3Years proven experience. 
  • Expression based parametric solid modeling, developing template assemblies. 
  • NX Sketcher 
  • Interpart modeling (WAVE) 
  • System Level Design (Layout) 
  • Basic UG/NX Expression Editor Programming 
  • Part Families & Design/Development for Reuse 
  • Drawing Automation
