A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY 

Working for the Manufacturing Manager and with the Team Leaders, you would be responsible for the cleaning of the sub-assembly components that have been removed from our Small Gas Turbines. This integral role ensures we have clean components prior to the engineering assessment process. You will be expected to work rotating Early and Late shift patterns. 


HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT 

-  You will be involved in the use of hot washing machines and various media blasting machines which are used to clean components but also to provide a level of finishing on certain mating faces IAW engineering drawings. 

-  Use lifting equipment, hand operated electric trucks and fixtures to complete this process and complete associated paperwork. 

-  You should be able to discuss issues clearly with supporting departments and complete handovers to your colleagues following on from you. 

-  You will be expected to maintain a high level of 5S to ensure the working area remains clean and tidy and submit process improvement ideas to support business continuous improvement initiatives. 

-  High standards of quality are a must, both in your primary cleaning role and your paperwork. 

-  Comply with both legal and company legislation and actively promote a healthy and safe working environment in line with company procedures. 

-  Flexibility in shift patterns and overtime is expected to support business and customer demands. 


WHAT YOU BRING 

-  Previous grit blasting experience, if possible 

-  Excellent attention to detail to ensure components condition is as best it can be, post strip, to allow repair work, if required. 

-  Strong safety and quality driven mindset and collaborative teamwork approach.
