A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in driving the commercial success of Grid Technologies opportunities across the Middle East region. Working closely with technical sales and bid management teams, you will lead all commercial and financial aspects of the bidding process, ensuring competitive, compliant, and profitable proposals.

You will contribute to developing winning bid strategies, managing contractual and financial risks, and ensuring adherence to internal governance requirements while supporting the growth of the Switchgear, Transformer, and Digital Grid business.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead all commercial activities throughout the bid lifecycle, from opportunity assessment to bid submission and contract award

• Review customer requirements and evaluate commercial implications, including contractual terms, taxes, currency concepts, import duties, and payment structures

• Assess and manage commercial risks, including credit risk, financial securities, guarantees, and insurance requirements

• Partner with technical sales and bid management teams to develop competitive and commercially attractive proposals

• Define effective business models and contract structures to maximize profitability and minimize risk

• Support and participate in commercial contract negotiations with customers and key stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements, including Limits of Authority (LoA), Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG), tax regulations, and trade finance policies

• Prepare and present commercial bid approvals during internal authorization and governance reviews

• Ensure bids and contracts comply with IFRS and Siemens Energy financial reporting requirements

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including finance, legal, tax, insurance, management teams, and customers

• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and bidding practices

What You Bring

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial management, contract negotiations, commercial project management, project controlling, or cost estimation

• Experience within the Transmission, Grid, Energy, Utilities, or Infrastructure sector is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of contract structures, financial risk assessment, and commercial negotiations

• Knowledge of IFRS and commercial governance frameworks

• Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Office, and commercial approval tools

• Familiarity with Siemens Energy Limits of Authority (LoA) processes is advantageous

• Experience in multinational and multicultural business environments
