We are currently looking to recruit a Client Manager to join our sales team within the Steam Turbine & Generator service business in Siemens Energy. Working as part of a dynamic team you will be responsible to manage several accounts within assigned territory, identify & develop sales opportunities to deliver profitable growth and ensure client’s satisfaction within Siemens Energy products and services.

The Steam Turbines & Generator (STG) business in France provides products and services to more than 100 customers from power generation, industrial sector, oil & gas sectors.

This is a highly networked role that requires strong people management and commercial skills.

It is not a managerial position.


How you will make an impact

  • Build lasting relationships with designated customers in the industrial and utility sectors by planning and organizing visits according to external (customer request, scheduled shutdown, etc.) and internal (promoting group solutions, services, etc.) needs.
  • Develop strategies, and sales plans to improve short and long-term order intake for your designated customers.
  • Generate quotations, including commercial (price, budget) and technical aspects with the technical experts’ support.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers with the support of the legal department, and ensure compliance with the organization requirements.
  • Ensure CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool is up-to-date.
  • Provide information via CRM for forecasts, planning and win-loss analysis.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with the assigned customers, for instance modernizations or upgrades.
  • Responsible for managing some of the projects within the committed timeline and budget for your designated customers
  • Communicate with and support our factories and service centers
  • Estimated traveling time = 20 to 40%


What you bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical Sales experience and front-end Sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge/experience in rotating equipment will be an asset.
  • Fluent French and English required. Written and oral communication skills to successfully interact with customers, management and the team.
  • German language is a plus.
  • Self-motivation combined with excellent organizational skills.
  • Good relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-driven.
  • Flexibility, creativity and open-minded view.
