A Snapshot of Your Day

As a CNC Machine Operator, your day starts on the shop floor, working with large-scale CNC Floor Borers and Gantry Mills. You’ll program, set up, and operate machines to manufacture precision components critical to Siemens Energy’s energy systems. These components support our mission to deliver reliable and sustainable energy solutions across the globe. Your work ensures products meet exact tolerances, making a direct impact on safety, efficiency, and performance. You’ll be part of a collaborative, detail-driven team that values craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and taking pride in doing things right the first time.

How You'll make an Impact

  • Set up and operate CNC Floor Borers and Gantry Mills to machine precision components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality output
  • Make on-the-fly NC program edits to optimize machining processes, including metric/imperial conversions
  • Perform accurate quality checks using tools like micrometers, verniers, and CMMs
  • Maintain clean work areas, tooling, and equipment while adhering to lubrication and maintenance schedules
  • Contribute to quality assurance and process documentation that supports continual improvement

What You Bring

  • Proven experience operating CNC Floor Borers or Gantry Mills in a precision engineering environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality, accurate work
  • Familiarity with Siemens 840D controls and relevant measurement tools
  • Ability to read complex technical drawings and translate them into machine operations
  • A proactive mindset towards maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement
  • A qualification such as ONC or City & Guilds is beneficial but not essential with equivalent experience

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
