A Snapshot of Your Day
This internship position within the EHS & Quality team for Asia Pacific & China is created to provide dedicated support for key regional initiatives. The role will directly assist in the development and enhancement of the departmental SharePoint site, development of key internal documents and various EHSQ administrative tasks. Given the focus on these technical and procedural tasks, the ideal candidate will be a current student with foundational skills in Power BI, SharePoint Online, and advanced Excel. Strong technical writing ability and an understanding of logical information structuring are crucial for creating user-friendly documentation and web resources. Working with the EHSQ Regional team. You will gain insights into the EHSQ processes crossing over with operational team from the project and technical management teams. You may be at times required to visit operational sites.
How You’ll Make an Impact
40% Business Intelligence & Data Visualization
- Connect to various data sources and build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to track EHS and Quality metrics.
- Publish, maintain, and refresh Power BI reports and datasets according to a defined schedule.
- Utilize Advanced Excel, including Power Query and Pivot Tables, for data preparation, cleaning, and preliminary analysis.
- Assist in analyzing data to identify trends and insights related to operational excellence and ISO certification requirements.
40% SharePoint & Content Management
- Assist in the design, development, and configuration of SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, and lists.
- Manage content and structure on the SharePoint platform to ensure information is logically organized and easily accessible for users.
- Apply basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customize SharePoint page layouts and enhance user experience.
- Help manage user permissions and groups to ensure proper access control to sensitive information.
20% Technical Documentation & Administrative Support
- Create and format technical documentation, including user guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to support the ISO certification process.
- Translate technical processes into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content for a non-technical audience.
- Provide administrative support for EHS tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and preparing materials for meetings.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- No formal work experience required; however, relevant project or coursework experience in data visualization, web development, or content management is highly advantageous.
- Experience in Health, safety, environment and or Quality related processes.
- Ability to connect diverse data sources, create reports, and publish dashboards.
- Ability in advanced Excel tools like XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Power Query to clean and structure data sets.
